Awaze strengthens leadership team with new MD at James Villa Holidays

Nau brings more than 16 years’ travel industry experience to his new role at the UK’s leading villa holiday specialist and joins from Expedia, where he had been Managing Director EMEA since 2016 and Managing Director Central Europe for five years before that.

Speaking about his new position, which starts on May 15, the former MD of TUI’s car rental business said: “I’m delighted to be joining James Villa Holidays. Growing up in Berlin, studying in London and Spain and holding dual Austrian/US citizenship, Nau will report directly into Awaze Group CEO Henrik Kjellberg as part of his new role, which will be based at the 35-year-old brand’s HQ in Maidstone, Kent.

Kjellberg said: “Andreas is a great appointment for the Awaze group as well as the James Villas brand. His energy, enthusiasm and experience align perfectly with our vision for growth and I fully expect him to make an already-strong leadership team even stronger.”

Nau is Awaze’s first senior appointment since the group of brands including cottages.com, Hoseasons, Landal GreenParks and Novasol, as well as James Villas, revealed its new corporate identity, leadership team and five-point strategy at the ITB Berlin trade show in March.

Nau’s senior colleagues include Awaze UK CEO, Geoff Cowley and Landal GreenParks CEO Dirk Anbeek, as well as Group Chief Finance Officer, Liliana Solomon and Group Chief Finance Officer, Alvaro de Nicolas.
